About
Julian Sturdy working for you working with you.
Julian is a local farmer from the village of Tockwith on the edge of York where he lives with his wife Victoria and two children George and Florence. Julian is determined to make a difference for the villages and communities around York that make up the new parliamentary seat of York Outer. He is a renowned local campaigner
and committed family man. Julian said “As someone who is Yorkshire born and bred I am extremely proud to have been chosen to contest this new seat. I have grown up and worked in the York area all of my life and having this chance to represent my local area and put something back into the community is a great honour.
I care about the issues that affect York and our surrounding villages because this is my local community and the issues that
affect you, affect my family and I. This is why I have been
running local surgeries across the constituency allowing people
to bring issues and concerns directly to me, I believe local people should be able to have direct access to their local politicians.”
Julian will be holding more local surgeries across the
constituency and welcomes constituents to comment on this website.

Great website. Well done.
Where’s your flippin’ email address Sturdy?
I’ve got to say that an email address or similar would be advantageous!
make sure any email addresses you put on are in the form of juliansturdy(at)whoever(dot)co(dot)uk
you will find if you populate your new website with formalised email addresses spam will be heading your way as it is captured by spambots that search the good old interweb.
We have just received your “Change” publication at our house in Heworth Without.
Why have you exported jobs and had it printed in Plymouth, Devon?
There are enough print firms in Yorkshire or even York that could have done the work.
Shame on you for pretending to be local and then paying money out to southerners.

Dear Julian,
As Chair of Churches Together in Haxby & Wigginton, we wondered as to your availability and willingness to be part of an Election Hustings for the prospective parliamentary candidates on the evening of Sunday 25th April 2010.
The evening would begin at 8.00pm, be held at Haxby & Wigginton Methodist Church and be a Question Time style in format, with one of my clergy colleagues chairing a question and answer session from the floor (questions being available 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting), as well as allowing a brief time for each candidate to speak about their experience and particular interests if elected.
At the last election we hosted a similar style evening and the meeting was very well attended with about 200 people turning up to hear the debate!
Clearly we are not sure yet when the Election will be called, but in preparation we felt this might be a reasonable time to call such a meeting.
Please let me know as soon as you can to your availability so we can begin to formulate arrangements for publicity etc.
Thanking you,
Rev. Cameron Stirk.
